Detailed itinerary.
Day 1: Pick up &transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park.
Depending on your advised location, meet up with our safari guide for a transfer to the iconic Bwindi Impenetrable national park with a stopover at the equator for photography and Mbarara for lunch. Upon arrival, check in at reserved accommodation facility for dinner and rest for night.
Accommodation options: Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge/ Buhoma Lodge/ Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge.

Day 2: Bwindi gorilla trekking day, Uganda
Breakfast will be served before you move to your starting location for a briefing from the game ranger. The duration of the journey ranges from two to eight hours, depending on the mountain gorillas’ movement. Interacting with these sociable primates will be such an amazing and thrilling experience (Once a lifetime encounter and experience which is hard to forget). You will be able to forget about all the challenging peaks and valleys you have traveled over thanks to their encounter. Following your hour-long meeting with them, you will head back to your lodge for some downtime, drinks, dinner and rest.
Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and dinner.
Day 3: Cross to Rwanda and transfer Volcanoes National Park.
Following breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and be transferred to Rwanda after bordering crossing and clearing your immigrations. Upon arrival, you will be driven to Volcanoes national park where you will check into your booked lodge for dinner and slumber.

Day 4: Second gorilla trek, Rwanda- twins Lake Visit.
Have breakfast first thing in the morning and then report to Volcanoes national park headquarters for briefing and registration. Then transfer to the trailhead where you will commence your quest for the mountain gorillas. This will take you about 2- 8 hours to find them and 1 hour with them once found. After this, transfer back to the head offices for your certificate and later to the lodge for lunch and rest. In the evening, you will drive to the twin’s lake of Burera and Ruhondo known for their stunning views, which you will enjoy. Dinner and slumber at the lodge when you return to the lodge.
Day 5: Return to Kigali- departure.
Have morning breakfast and then transfer back to Kigali where you will have a city tour and then depart to Kigali International airport for flight back home. End of the safari.
