6 Days Rwanda honey moon tour

DAY 1: TRANSFER TO NYUNGWE FOREST
Meet at the hotel in Kigali and transfer to Butare town (lunch at Ibis Hotel Butare), visit Rwandan National museum, Murambi genocide memorial site and proceed to Nyungwe forest , relax in the evening at Nyungwe forest lodge (Superior) / Peace guest house (Deluxe & Budget) as wait for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2: CHIMPANZEE & OTHER PRIMATES TRACKING
Nyungwe Forest is one of the destinations in the world where you can see up to 13 primates species; these include chimpanzees, the Blue Monkeys, L'Hoest's Monkeys, endangered golden monkeys and the Angolan black and white Colobus Monkeys among others. Nyungwe forest has huge concentrations of habituated chimpanzees whose troops range between 400 - 500 individuals! This is a unique tourism phenomenon. Return to your lodge (Day 1) for lunch and relax at the lodge as you wait for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: TRANSFER TO GISENYI ON LAKE KIVU
Take morning breakfast and connect to Gisenyi town; a wonderful place to relax, having a captivating feel of a tropical beach resort due to its waterfront and sandy beaches and excellent views of Lake Kivu. Overnight at Hotel Paradise marahide / Stipp hotel / lake Kivu Serena Hotel, both overlooking lake Kivu shores.

DAY 4: FANTASTIC BOAT CRUISE TO COFFEE ISLAND
Enjoy a fantastic boat cruise to the coffee Island, lunch at the hotel, then transfer to Ruhengeri, dinner and overnight at Kinigi Guest house (Budget) / Hotel la Palme (Deluxe) / Gorillas Nest lodge (Luxury).

DAY 5: DIANA FOSSEY HIKE
Enjoy morning breakfast and get ready for a magical hiking experience to Diana Fossey tombs, loacted at the former Karisoke Research Center. This is where Dian Fossey spent close to 20 years studying Mountain Gorillas. The Hiking experience to Diana Fossey site is quite spectacular, goes through untamed bamboo forest & Afro-montane habitats, criss-crossed trails with tracks of forest buffalo, elephants etc! Expect an encounter with all sorts of wildlife as you make our way up and down to Karisoke, nestled between the beautiful volcanic peaks of Karismbi and Visoke. DAY 6: GORILLA TREKKING
Assemble at the Park headquarters with packed lunch and water for a briefing about gorilla tracking! Gorilla trek goes through relatively steep and slippery jungle grounds before encountering gorillas camouflaged in thick vegetation! The thrilling encounter with gorillas is worth the effort! Sight and stay is one hour, descent to your lodge, time permitting, you can proceed for a cultural tour or nature walk to nearby communities.
