8 DAYS UGANDA - RWANDA TRIP

Day1:
On Arrival in Kigali you will be met by our tour guide. You will then take a city tour around Kigali the capital city of Rwanda. You will get to see the genocide memorial, museum, the pottery markets and arts and crafts markets and also get to buy yourselves some souvenirs. Dinner and overnight at the hotel
Day2:
After breakfast, drive to Ruhengeri in the north, the Land of a Thousand Hills and tour around the lively and friendly town centre of Ruhengeri, visit the clay fields of a group of brick makers. You will Have lunch and then relax while watching a cultural performance of a local dance group and in the evening, you will have a traditional dinner and overnight at lodge
Day3
Wake up early morning and go for gorilla trekking in the bamboo forests of Volcanoes National Park and visit one of the last mountain gorilla families in the world, one of the supreme highlights in the lives of many nature lovers, return for lunch. After the trek drive to cross the border to Bunyonyi overland resort for an Overnight .
Day 4:
After morning breakfast, drive to Bwindi impenetrable forest, watch out. The cascading hills of the region, you will arrive in time for lunch at the hotel, in the evening you will entertained by the pygmies the only left shortest people who formally lived in the Ituri forest. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma community bandas
Day 5 Gorilla Tracking
In the morning you will have a hearty breakfast and depart to the park
Headquarters for briefing and around 8:00 am you will set off along the tracks in the thick forest to go search for the mountain gorillas.
Depending on the movement of these humble giants after the trek, you will be taken back to the lodge for an overnight
Day 6:
You will have breakfast early in the morning and then depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park drive, to connect the park from the Ishasha section which is famous for the tree climbing lions and other big game wild drive arrive in the afternoon. Watch out for the visit at Lake Katwe as you enjoy the walk around , watch the local methods of mining salt as you enjoy the clear view of MT Rwenzori at glance en-route as you drive to the lodge to as you view animals like elephants, warthogs, bushbucks, bush pigs and others. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge
Day 7
Early morning game drive to view different wild species. The drive offers you an opportunity to see the big five, that is the Lions, Leopards, Giant Forest Hogs, Cape Buffaloes, Elephants, Defassa Waterbucks, Uganda cobs, Topi, Bush bucks and many more. After the game drive return to the lodge for breakfast and relaxation at the lodge as you wait for an evening boat cruise at the kazinga channel into Lake Edward. View out for Hippos, plenty of birds such as the African horn bill saddle billed stork, hadada ibis, sacred ibis. Dinner and overnight as above
Day 8 transfer to Kampala after morning breakfast/drive to the airport for your departure flight back home.
