Twin Lakes of Burera and Ruhondo- Gorilla Safaris Africa

Burera and Ruhondo twin lakes, located in Rwanda’s Northern Region close to the country’s border with Uganda, are both breathtaking. They are close to Musanze town and the Kinigi headquarters of the Volcanoes National Park, which is where the legendary mountain gorillas of Rwanda may be found. The volcanoes of Muhabura, Gahinga, and Bisoke are located underneath them.

These lakes have steep, intensively farmed hills surrounding them, which provide a picturesque scene with views of the Virunga volcanoes and pristine, deep blue waters.

Many visitors to Rwanda, for a cause that we do not fully understand overlook these lakes, which get their name because they are close to one another. However, a visit to these is memorable.
