Day 1: Arrival and Kigali City Tour
Upon arrival in Kigali International Airport in Kigali the capital of Rwanda, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Take some time to settle in and relax before embarking on a cultural experience, visit local art galleries showcasing traditional Rwandan crafts, and immerse yourself in the city’s rich history and culture. In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner featuring authentic Rwandan cuisine.

Day 2: Genocide Memorial Visit – Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast you will head to Kigali City for a poignant and educational experience visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial before embarking on a scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park.
The Kigali Genocide Memorial is an important site that pays tribute to the victims of the Rwandan Genocide, offering deep insights into the country’s tragic history and the strength of its people. Explore the memorial’s exhibits, which provide a comprehensive understanding of the events that unfolded in 1994. Take a moment to reflect and pay your respects to the lives lost.
After a delicious lunch, embark on a scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park. This journey offers breathtaking views of Rwanda’s lush landscapes, rolling hills, and terraced farms. Upon reaching the park, settle in your lodge nestled at the foothills of the Virunga Mountains and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
Today you will embark on an unforgettable gorilla trek through the lush rainforest of Volcanoes National Park for an extraordinary experience. As you journey through the dense forests, you will be accompanied by experienced park rangers who will be sharing their knowledge about mountain gorillas and the conservation efforts dedicated to their protection.
Wake up early for breakfast and head to the park headquarters in Kinigi for briefing about gorilla trekking, in groups of 8 people you will head into the forest search for mountain gorillas. The trek takes approximately 2 to 6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas and where they spent their previous night. As you approach the gorilla family, you heart will race with excitement. Spend one hour observing them lounging or playful interacting with each other in their natural habitat. Observe with wonder as the young gorillas frolic in the undergrowth while the silverback, a symbol of strength and leaderships, keeps a watchful eye over his family, witness the gentle bond between mothers and infants as they tenderly groom and care of one another.
Later trek back to the park headquarters, meet your guide and return to your lodge for lunch and spend the rest of the day reminiscing about the day’s encounters.

Day 4: Visit Ellen DeGeneres Gorilla Fund Campus
Immerse yourself in conservation efforts by visiting the Ellen DeGeneres Gorilla Fund Campus. Gain insights into the organisation’s efforts to protect and conserve gorillas and their habitats. Meet with researchers and conservationists who dedicate their lives to studying and safeguarding these incredible creatures. Learn about ongoing projects, participate in educational activities, and witness first-hand and positive impact of conservation initiatives.

Day 5: Drive to Kigali
After breakfast, bid farewell to Volcanoes National Park and embark on a scenic drive back to Kigali. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to stop at local villages and interact with the friendly Rwanda people.
Arrive in Kigali in the evening and spend the rest of the day at leisure. You may choose to explore of the city’s attractions or simply unwind at your hotel.

Day 6: Fly to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, depart Rwanda and fly from Kigali to Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. Upon arrival, your guide will greet you and transfer you to your exclusive safari lodge in the heart of Serengeti. Settle in and take in the breathtaking views of the endless savannah.
In the evening, enjoy a sundowner while witnessing a spectacular African sunset, followed by a gourmet dinner under the starlit sky.

Day 7-8: Serengeti National Park
Spend these two days exploring Serengeti National Park, experience the wonders of this iconic national park, where stunning landscapes and abundant wildlife await. Accompanied by experienced guides, embark on exhilarating game drives while learning about the park’s diverse flora and fauna.
