Detailed Itinerary of 3 Days Bwindi Gorilla Adventure from Kigali
Day 1 – Transfer from Kigali to Bwindi
On arrival at Kigali International Airport in Kigali, the Capital of Rwanda, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative, your private driver guide and go for a short Kigali City Tour visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial Site, the Kimiroko Market and other fascinating sites around the city.
Then embark on a journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda with border crossing at Kyanika Border. After clearing with the authorities you will continue with journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, arrive in the evening and after settling in at your lodge. You will have the entire evening to yourself, resting and preparing yourself for the next day’s adventure. Enjoy dinner and overnight.

Day 2 – Gorilla Tracking
Wake up early for breakfast, meet your guide and head to the park for an intimate encounter with mountain gorillas in Bwindi Forest. Join other trekkers at the park headquarters for briefing conducted by a senior ranger guide who will take you through rules and regulations to follow while in the forest.
In groups of 8 people you will be assigned a gorilla family to trek, then head into the forest with armed ranger guides. The trek takes approximately 2 to 6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas and where they spent their previous night, upon locating these gentle giants. You will be allowed to spend only one hour in their presence watching them go on with their life in the forest, play, feed, pick fruits and grooming each other.
Then trek back to the park headquarters, meet your guide and return to your lodge or head to the Batwa Community for a cultural experience. Also known as Pygmies, the Batwa are an indigenous group in Central Africa. Historically known as hunter-gathers who lived in the forests of Uganda and Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The Batwa are considered one of the oldest tribes in the region, with deep roots in the equatorial forests. Their way of life, centred on the forest, has been significantly impacted by conservation efforts and displacement, leading to challenges like poverty and marginalization.
During your visit, you will be entertained by local dances and drama, interact with the elders, take part in demonstration of their skilful hunting tactics and visit the medicine man. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 – Back to Kigali
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, meet your guide and embark on a journey back to Kigali where you will be dropped off either at your preferred hotel in Kigali or at the airport for your flight back home or to your next destination.
