Detailed Itinerary of 5 Days Bwindi Gorilla Budget Safari
Day 1 – Arrival at Entebbe Airport – Uganda
On landing at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by our company representative and after briefing about what to expect on the safari, you will be driven to your hotel in Kampala where you will spend the evening at rest or go for a short city tour – depending on the time or arrival.

Day 2 – Drive to Bwindi
Wake up for a delicious breakfast, then embark on a journey of about 8-10 hours to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will get a stopover at the Uganda Equator for photo moments and water experiment and even shop for some souvenirs. Have another stopover in Mbarara for lunch and continue to Bwindi Forest arriving in the evening, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 – Gorilla Trekking Day
Wake up early for breakfast, meet your guide and head to the park headquarters for briefing about gorillas and the right to behave conducted by a UWA senior ranger. You will then be grouped into 8 people and assigned a gorilla family/group to trek depending on your fitness level and special request.
In company of armed ranger guides, head into the forests of Bwindi looking for mountain gorillas. The trek takes through uneven landscape and misty forest, taking approximately 2 to 6 hours to locate the gorillas. Upon finding these gentle giants you are allowed only one hour of being in their presence, standing a few meters from them. Watch the gorillas play, feed, pick fruits, mothers feeding their babies under a watchful gaze of a silverback. Later trek back to the park headquarters where you will be rewarded with gorilla trekking certificates, then head to your lodge for an evening of rest. Alternatively you can head to Batwa community for a cultural experience, interact with the Batwa elders and be entertained by local dances and drama. Later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 – From Bwindi to Kampala
After breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and embark on a journey to Kampala with interesting stops en-route and lunch. Arrive in Kampala for an overnight rest.
