Detailed Itinerary of 5 Days Wildlife and Gorillas Uganda Safari
Day 1 – Kampala – Queen Elizabeth Safari Park
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative (your private driver-guide) and embark on a journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, the most popular wildlife park in Uganda. This beautiful park is located on the foothills of the Mountains of the Moon, a great mountain range in Western Uganda.
Arrive in the park in afternoon, enjoy lunch after checking in and later, go for your first game drive in search for wildlife species including lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes and several bird species. In the evening, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 – Chimpanzee Safari in Kyambura Gorge
Wake up early for breakfast and head to the Kyambura Gorge of Queen Elizabeth National Park to track the playful chimpanzees. These primates are very playful and are always on a move and them being mobile makes seeing them unpredicted, the walk through the gorge is wonderful given the different features of the forest. After spending an hour with these playful chimpanzees observing them play, feed and groom each other, you will trek back to your lodge for lunch and short rest.
In the afternoon you will go for a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel, home to various water animals. As you cruise, be on a lookout for hippos, crocodiles and elephants and herds of buffaloes which come to the banks to drink water. With a short game drive, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 – Bwindi Gorilla Forest
Start your day early with breakfast, meet your guide and go for a game drive in Ishasha Sector, home to the rare tree climbing lions which you see lounging on tree branches if you are lucky. Other animals you will see include zebras, antelopes, gazelles, elephants, buffaloes, leopards and several bird species.

Continue to Bwindi Forest with en-route lunch. As you drive, you will see the landscape change and when you arrive in Bwindi, check in at your lodge and have an evening of rest as you prepare for the next day’s adventure – gorilla trekking the highlight of your Uganda Safari.

Day 4 – Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Forest
Wake up early in the morning, enjoy breakfast and proceed to the park headquarters for briefing by a senior ranger guide, who will share all the rules and regulations you have to follow while in the forest and presence of the endangered gorillas.
In groups of 8 people you will trek through the forests of Bwindi looking for mountain gorillas, the trek takes approximately 2 to 6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas and where they spent their previous night. On locating them, you will be allowed to spend only 1 hour observing them play, feed and groom each other.
Later trek back to the park headquarters where you will meet your guide and return to your lodge for an evening of rest, have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5 – Drive Back to Kampala
This is the last day of this Uganda wildlife and gorillas safari. Enjoy an early breakfast and embark on a journey back to Entebbe with en-route lunch in Mbarara and in Kayabwe at the Equator crossing for a photo moment.
You will be dropped at Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home, bringing your safari to an end.
