Itinerary for 1 day Kampala city tour

Visit the authentic city of Uganda, Kampala. You will have to visit most of the prominent markets here, including; Nakasero market and Owino. From here, you will start visiting some of the state-of-art shopping malls that are distributed all over the city, which include; Mukwano malls, Garden City, Pioneer Mall, and many more. From here you will proceed to Kabaka’s palace in Mengo and view its unique architecture, then head to Lubaga cathedral, which is the headquarter of Roman Catholicism in the country, then relocate to Namirembe cathedral, which is also the headquarter of the Church of Uganda protestants.

Go for lunch at Hotel Equatorial and relax a bit, then in the evening, head to Kasubi royal tombs, which is the burial site for all Buganda Kingdom Kings, which is also enlisted by UNESCO, passing through Makerere hill, which is the home to East Africa’s oldest and most coveted university.

From here, they relocate to the Namugongo martyr’s shrine, which is the place where the Uganda martyrs were burnt. Proceed to Kabaka’s Lake for a close look at the largest man-made excavated lake in Africa for bird viewing, butterfly watching, and scenic viewing.
