Day 1: Transfer from Kigali to Goma.

On day 2 of 7 Days Congo Gorilla & Chimpanzee Safari, drive to Bukima park station for briefing about the whole exercise,allocation of gorilla groups, meet the guides and embark on the rigorous exercise of tracking down these primates.
After finding them take your best photographs having switched off your flash for one full hour that you will never forget for the rest of your life. Then from here drive back to the hotel in Goma for dinner and overnight.
Day 3 of 7 Days Congo Gorilla & Chimpanzee Safari: Nyiragongo hike
A bright day starts with morning breakfast with packed lunch followed by a drive to Nyiragongo volcano trail where hikers commence the ascent at the Kibati Ranger Post. The hike takes about five hours to reach the top has stunning views. The night will be spent in tents on the rim of the giant crater, high above the active lava lake.
Day 4: Descend and transfer to Kahuzi Biega national Park
Early in the morning , you will descend down the hills and embark on the boat to kahuzi biega National Park. Transfer from Goma to Bukavu via Lake Kivu, Passing through the Africa’s forgotten island of Idjwi island and then continue to Bukavu docking at Ihusi port.
The journey may take more three hours depending on the waves on the lake, On this gorilla adventure journey you will take either a speed boat or a big ferry where by the last one of Ihusi leaves at 2:00pm but the speed boat can be tailored according to your needs and interests. dinner and overnight at Coco lodge
Day 5: Eastern Lowland Gorilla Trekking
Wake up very early in the morning for breakfast and embark on the memorable adventure of tracking the lowland gorillas that can only be done in Kahuzi Biega National Park and once you find them, you will be allowed a period of one hour with them taking pictures and observing their behaviors
Day 6: Chimpanzee tracking.

Day 7 of 7 Days Congo Gorilla & Chimpanzee Safari: Transfer to Kigali
Wake up not so early in the morning and enjoy leisure, then cross to Rwanda via Rusizi Border and transfer to Kigali visiting En route Genocide memorials with lunch en route arrive in Kigali in later evening and drop off at Kigali international Airport.
